Our last day in Ireland was spent in Dublin. I wanted to visit Trinity College and see the Book of Kells, so Mark booked us a hotel close by that we could walk along the River Liffey, Temple Bar area, and Trinity College.

The Book of Kells is an illuminated manuscript featuring the four gospels of the New Testament. It was created in a Columban monastery in either Ireland or Scotland around 800 AD. I spoke with a couple of volunteers who worked or attended the college. The library is being renovated, so will be closed after this year.
