Spokane, Washington to Pullman, Washington July 7-14, 2024

Our journey west took us first to Spokane. It was semi climatic being here without Jonny and Sarah to join in the fun! We camped at Northern Quest Casino (as usual). The temperature is starting to climb towards 100, so happy to have air conditioning! Went to Community Pint to have a toast for Jonny and Sarah.

Then onward to Pullman to visit Mike Faupel! We decided to surprise him, so sent him this photo with the ownerof the Red Card, Greg. Mike showed up in 5 minutes

Unfortunately, we picked the week that Betsy was in Florida with her grandkids. We will catch her next time. We stayed at the Boyer Park and Marina which was on the Snake River. The Palouse prairie can be quite beautiful. Miles and miles of wheat. Unfortunately, the temperature was topping out around 103 degrees. Fortunately, it cooled down quickly after the sun set.

We spent every night with Mike and got to spend Mike’s 63rd birthday with him. He was generous enough to take us out boating on the Snake River and this very hot Saturday. Very few boats out besides us, so it was peaceful. Mike caught a small mouth bass. Mark caught nothing. But the fish definitely were not biting in this heat.
