It’s always a great weekend when we get to see Jon and Sarah. They are settled into the area and their new jobs- Jon working in real estate law and Sarah working as a chef at G-Love restaurant.

We stayed at the La Uva Fortuna Farms in Battle Ground, Washington which was a part of the Harvest Hosts program. We enjoyed wood-fired pizza the first night, followed by an outdoor showing of “The Sound of Music”. It was Mark’s first time seeing the movie and we were determined to make it to the end, but were so tired by 11pm we called it an early night.

The next night we spent with Jon and Sarah with another meal at the winery and other venues.

We ended the weekend at Sarah’s restaurant, G-Love. What a culinary experience! The restaurant serves small plates and the chef’s creations are spot on. Here is an example of the menu, although a bit different from the night we were there. A bottle of orange wine topped off the meal.
