Our first night of our fall camping trip! The weather was perfect with a high in the 70s. Cool at night down to 45. Beautiful full moon and sunrise! We stayed at our site and didn’t go into town except to buy a lottery ticket. Did we win? Nope.

September 7, 2029: Dakota Campground, Mitchell, South Dakota

We are in Mitchell, South Dakota. Home of the Corn Palace! We went to visit as we hadn’t been here since the boys traveled here with us. They were closed. So we got a picture of Mark with the corn statue. He’s always willing to ham it up!

We spent a pleasant night here. The cooler temperatures are welcome!

September 8, 2025: Badlands, South Dakota and Rapid Ci

We decided to drive through the Badlands as we hadn’t stopped here in years. We didn’t quite catch the light, but still got some good pictures.

We stayed at Rapid City KOA. Nice, but pricey. Almost to Montana!
